The theme for HEAVY was construction and urban living. The headliner of the event was Goldie.
Most of the source footage was taken on my digital camera (Casio Exlim Pro) and consisted of driving around downtown Phoenix while the light rail was under construction.

More than simply putting flowers in a container, ikebana is a disciplined art form in which nature and humanity are brought together. Contrary to the idea of floral arrangement as a collection of particolored or multicolored arrangement of blooms, ikebana often emphasizes other areas of the plant, such as its stems and leaves, and draws emphasis toward shape, line, form.

Here are a couple arrangements that caught my eye at the Japanese festival that was held in downtown Phoenix.
pinatas and feet
Here is a picture of me as a wee one at a cousins birthday party in Mexico. Notice in the first one my giant feet; something I never grew out of or into depending on how you look at it (I’m a ladies size US11 btw). In the second one is perhaps the first glimpse of the cynical little cupcake I am today. Its not my fault I’m not amused and excited by what seems to work for everyone else. Sigh. Its so isolating, my elitism.

Believe it or not I’m trying to get into a regular blogging routine. If you’ve read this for any amount of time you’ve noticed me attempt to start up a couple ongoing subjects which don’t really make it past the first round. So its time for another one of those. Playlist Tuesdays? Sure. Why not.
So lets kick this off by showing you what I’ve been listening to the past 7 days:
I was on a bit of an electro kick last week getting amped up for friday. Also, I’m attending the Sasquatch Festival in WA this summer, and BOYS NOIZE is on the lineup. Decided to bow out of the Coachella trip in favor of trying something new. I was way off on my lineup wish list btw. Thom Yorke and Major Lazer are the two acts I’m sorry I’ll be missing.
Anyone going to any music festivals this summer?
