07.Jan.2010 introducing… vj ghostmeat
I make music to visuals in my head. Always have. I’ve thought doing so “professionally” (or at least with other people around to share my work and interpretations with, heh) would be pretty fun so I’ve been chipping away at it. I use to make visuals for PHX DNB but they were just looping dvd’s with pre-mixed video, many of which was my own creation (via after effects ect). Here is an example of what that looked like:
The theme of that party was “construction” and urban grit and the headliner was Goldie. The construction footage was taken by myself with assistance from MechSoul. Actually he did quite a few clips in this particular set so I cant take all the credit.
Anywho, that was some time ago, like 3 years. Last month I was invited to participate in a new night in Phoenix called Culture Shock and here is a video of the performers that night with visuals Mech and I made in the background:
There is a Culture Shock event going on this month: Friday January 22nd @ Yucca Tap Room. It will be my first LIVE vj attempt. I just purchased my first controller actually. And I’m in the afterglow of geekdom.
I felt like sharing
