16.Mar.2010 Events // Heavy

The theme for HEAVY was construction and urban living. The headliner of the event was Goldie.

Most of the source footage was taken on my digital camera (Casio Exlim Pro) and consisted of driving around downtown Phoenix while the light rail was under construction.

the best in late night grub in phoenix is this taco stand outside of charlies on camelback. $1 per taco. get there before 2am as that’s when all the tipsy clubgoers pour in. i’ve waited upwards of 45 mins for these babies. and i gotta say, worth the wait.

02.Jun.2009 my dead neighbor

img00704

true story: my neighbor passed away of natural causes and it was a couple weeks before anyone noticed.  i figured the guy was away on vacation or got evicted and failed to notify the az republic. the day i took this picture i joked about the funky smell.  a couple days later they figured it out. the neighbor downstairs caught on when his ceiling started dripping maggots.  they had to tear the floor/ceiling out.

22.Sep.2008 Snooze button enthusiasm.

This is just a nightmare
Soon I’m going to wake up
Someone’s gonna bring me ’round

Running from the bombers
Hiding in the forest
Running through the fields

Laying flat on the ground
Just like everybody
Stepping over heads

Running from the underground
This is your warning
4 minute warning

I don’t wanna hear it
I don’t wanna know
I just wanna run and hide

This is just a nightmare
But soon I’m gonna wake up
Someone’s gonna bring me ’round

This is a warning
4 minute warning

14.Jun.2008 What do the waves have to say now?

It’s the place that’s said to break
It’s just as safe from the outside tonight

And I want that
I face the storms at the tides
From the lighthouse

And I want that
Unleash the storm and the night

Oh…

What do the waves have to say now?
What do the waves have to say now?

Slow now

And let the waves have their way now
Slow, and let the waves have their day

And I want that

Here I’ve been living on roofs made from sin
Upward and outward, “Begin, begin.”

Here I’ve been lucid I’m living within
Inwardly urgent, I’m sinking again

17.May.2008 dumpster tag – cloner

i’ve passed by this rather smelly dumpster behind fate in dowtown phx many times. each time the wretched smell of decomposing asian cuisine was made tolerable by this clever little tag by cloner. thanks to the magic of technology i am able to transport you there, sans offending odors.
