23.Mar.2010 Event // Punch Out @ The Lost Leaf
This edition of Culture Shock was done in collaboration with Downtime, the tuesday night downtempo night held at the Lost Leaf in downtown Phoenix.
I’ll be posting a breakdown of how I organized and produced the visuals
18.Mar.2010 Events // Culture Shock V 1.0
Culture Shock aims to bring Arizona a fresh experience and expose some of the local talent the city is seething with. The night is “traveling” (like a circus!) and the first one was in December 2009 at Jugheads. Here is some footage from the night. I provided the visuals playing in the background:

17.Mar.2010 Test Lab // Lazy Ache via coche
Playing around with the (then new) concept of Lazy Ache. Stock footage from istock. Mirrored. 3D stroke by Trapcode. Audio from GarageBand.
16.Mar.2010 Events // Heavy
The theme for HEAVY was construction and urban living. The headliner of the event was Goldie.
Most of the source footage was taken on my digital camera (Casio Exlim Pro) and consisted of driving around downtown Phoenix while the light rail was under construction.
Strip away everything of yourself that is conditional — your name, your relationships, your language, your acquired knowledge, your body parts — and what is left? Nothing is left except a point of awareness. Since it is independent of all that is conditionally you, your awareness is identical to my awareness and to everyone else’s. I don’t mean identical as in “separate but the same.” I mean identical as in “one and the same.” I am you and you are I. We are the same being taking different points of view.

although i don’t necessarily love the visuals in this video, the song itself has made me misty-eyed on a few occasions…
